7. bis 10. Köln a. Rh. Der Dom.
Der einzige im Mittelalter vollendete Bauteil ist der Chor, der zwischen 1248 und 1332 vollendet wurde. Die Westfassade mit den Haupttürmen blieb dagegen jahrhundertelang ohne Zusammenhang mit dem Chor stehen. Im südlichen Turm konnten 1437 die Glocken aufgehängt werden. Der nördliche Turm war um 1450 erst auf die Höhe der Seitenschiffe gebracht. Dann erlosch die Bautätigkeit immer mehr. Erst im 19. Jahrh. wurden nach den alten Plänen Türme und Schiff vollendet.

The Choir is the only ancient part of the building which was completed between 1248 and 1332. The West-façade with the principal towers, for centuries remained unconnected with the Choir. In 1437 the bells could be hung up in the South tower. It was not till 1450 that the North tower reached the height of the aisles. Then gradtially the building ceased and it was only in the 19. century that the towers were finished and the nave completed.

7. — 10. Cologne. La cathédrale.
La seule partie achevée au moyen âge est le chœur, termiue entre 1248 et 1332. La façade ouest avec les tours principales est restée debout pendant des siecles sans être reliée au chœur. On a accroché les cloches en 1437 dans la tour méridionale. La tour du nord ne s'élevait en 1450 qu'à la hauteur des bas-côtés. Plus tard on n'a presque plus rien bâti. Ce n'est qu'au 19e siècle qu'ou a achevé les tours et la nef d'après les vieux plans.
